Calmora

Terms of Service

Effective date: September 28, 2026

These Terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Calmora. They are written to be read: the short version is that Calmora is an assistant, not an authority — it drafts, you decide — and you agree not to treat its suggestions as guarantees. The long version follows, and the capitalized sections at the end matter most.

What changed on September 28, 2026

Keeping travel blocks current. A second kind of automatic change, beside autopilot (below), off unless the operator switches it on and you then turn it on for your account: it may move the start of a travel block the Service wrote, within the limits in Section 4.

What changed on September 27, 2026

Autopilot changed. Each item applies only to an account that switches autopilot on (Section 4):

  • Autopilot is now per account, off by default. It does nothing for your account until you switch it on from the You tab.
  • Autopilot may now change and remove events it created. Where the operator has separately switched this on, it may move or remove an event the Service itself created, within the limits in the Privacy Policy. Before, it could only create.
  • Activity and undo. What autopilot changed or removed is listed on the You tab, where a removal can be put back while this server remembers it.
  • A notification gate. An automatic change or removal happens only when the Service can notify a device where you have turned notifications on.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

Calmora (the “Service”) is operated by Darwin Hu, an independent developer based in New York, United States (“we”, “us”, the “Operator”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

2. What the Service is

The Service turns natural-language text and schedule images into draft calendar events, shows your week with an estimate of your realistic availability, checks proposed commitments against your existing ones, and creates, changes or deletes events in your own Google Calendar — after your explicit confirmation, or under the narrow automatic conditions in Section 4 (autopilot, and keeping travel blocks current). The Service is in active development and offered as an early-stage product; features may change, break, appear, or disappear (Section 9).

3. Your Google account

The Service has no accounts of its own: you sign in with Google, and calendar operations run against your own Google Calendar using the permission you grant at Google’s consent screen. You are responsible for the security of your Google account and for the devices and browsers you use with the Service — the session cookie in your browser is what holds your access, so treat a shared or public computer accordingly (sign out, and revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions if in doubt). Your use of Google services remains governed by Google’s own terms.

4. What you authorize the Service to do

You authorize the Service to read events from your primary Google Calendar to render the features you use, and to create, change or delete events there when you explicitly confirm a previewed action. The change and deletion flows refuse to touch events that do not carry the hidden marker the Service writes on the events it creates.

Autopilot is the first of two exceptions, and it is off unless switched on. While it is on, the Service may createan event without asking you first, only when the draft cleared every safety gate listed in the Privacy Policy; and, only where the operator has separately switched that on, it may change the time of, or remove, an event the Service itself created, within the limits set out in the Privacy Policy. A removal can be put back from the You tab while this server remembers it. An automated change is listed on the You tab, and a serious one is also notified to your devices with the time the event was at; to undo a change from that list, edit the event in Google Calendar. A draft that fails any gate still comes to you as a preview. Whatever autopilot does is reported on screen when it happens, marked as done automatically, with the way back beside it: an event it created can be removed there, an event it moved can be changed back there, and an event it removed can be put back there. When the Service cannot confirm whether a change or removal landed, that screen says so and offers no way back while the outcome is unknown. Where it offers “Check my calendar”, that button only reads your calendar, never sends the change or removal again, and says so if it still cannot tell; otherwise, check your calendar yourself.

Autopilot is per account and off by default. It does nothing for your account until you switch it on from the You tab, and it applies only to the browser you turned it on in, until you sign out, sign in again, or your sign-in expires.

Keeping travel blocks currentis the second exception. It is off unless the operator has switched it on and you have also turned on “Keep my travel blocks current” under Travel nudges on the You tab. While it is on, when a checked route says a trip between two of your commitments now takes a different time, the Service may move the start of the travel block it wrote for that trip — by at most 60 minutes, on the same day, never earlier than the end of the commitment before it, and never in the past. It changes nothing but that block’s start time, notifies no guests, and leaves the block alone if it has guests, is part of a series, or has been edited since the Service wrote it. The Privacy Policy describes what it records. Turning it off stops it at once. Any further automated features will be off by default, enabled only by explicit opt-in, and described in the Privacy Policy before they ship.

5. Your content and your responsibilities

You retain all rights to the content you submit — text, images, and the events that result. You grant us the limited license necessary to process that content solely to operate the Service (including the AI processing itemized in the Privacy Policy), and for no other purpose. You are responsible for what you submit:

  • upload only images you have the right to share — a schedule photo can contain other people’s information, and you, not we, are responsible for having the right to process it;
  • review every draft before confirming it — confirmation is the moment an event becomes real on your calendar, and unless you have switched on autopilot or keeping travel blocks current, nothing becomes real or moves without you;
  • do not submit content that is unlawful or that infringes anyone’s rights.

6. AI outputs: assistive estimates, not facts

The Service’s intelligence — parsed drafts, event categories, availability windows, shift-conflict verdicts, researched event details — is produced by AI models and heuristics. It is probabilistic assistance, not a source of truth. Specifically, and without limitation:

  • a parsed draft can misread a date, a time, a time zone, a place, or a person — the preview exists so you catch that before it lands on your calendar;
  • availability and conflict views are estimates built from assumptions (about commute, buffers, and what an event’s title implies) that may not match your life, and an event the Service marks as a conflict — or fails to mark as one — may be the opposite;
  • researched details about public events (dates, venues) come from the public web and can be wrong or stale;
  • categories inferred from event titles are guesses, are labeled with their reasoning, and can be rejected — they are surfaced precisely because they may be wrong.

You agree to independently verify any Service output before relying on it for anything that matters — accepting or declining work shifts, buying or selling tickets, booking travel, scheduling appointments, meeting deadlines, or any other commitment with real-world consequences. The Service is not a substitute for checking, and no output of the Service constitutes professional, financial, employment, or legal advice.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • probe, breach, or test the security of the Service, or access data or accounts that are not yours;
  • interfere with the Service’s operation, including by circumventing rate limits or usage caps, or by automated access (scripts, scrapers, bots) without our prior written consent;
  • use the Service to process content designed to manipulate or subvert AI systems (prompt-injection payloads and the like) beyond good-faith security research disclosed to us at darwinhu64@gmail.com;
  • resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our agreement;
  • use the Service in violation of applicable law, or of Google’s or Anthropic’s terms as they apply to your use.

We may throttle, suspend, or terminate access that we reasonably believe violates this section (Section 13).

8. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties it does not control: Google (sign-in and Calendar), Anthropic (AI processing), and the providers named in the Privacy Policy. Their availability, behavior, and terms are theirs; an outage or change on their side can degrade or disable the Service, and links the Service renders to third-party pages (for example, a researched event’s source) lead to sites we neither control nor endorse.

9. Availability, changes, and fees

The Service is provided without any service-level commitment: it may be modified, suspended, interrupted, or discontinued at any time, with or without notice, including to protect users, comply with law, or retire features. The Service is currently free of charge. If paid features are ever introduced, pricing will be communicated clearly before you are charged, and nothing you already created on your calendar is ever held hostage — your events live in your Google account regardless.

10. Intellectual property; feedback

The Service, its software, and its design are owned by the Operator or licensed to us, and these Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service as intended. You keep your content (Section 5). If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (a) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (b) ANY OUTPUT OF THE SERVICE — INCLUDING PARSED EVENTS, CATEGORIES, AVAILABILITY, CONFLICT CHECKS, AND RESEARCHED DETAILS — WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR RELIABLE; OR (c) DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM US OR THROUGH THE SERVICE CREATES ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE OPERATOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, WAGES, INCOME, OPPORTUNITIES, GOODWILL, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS — INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES ARISING FROM MISSED, MIS-SCHEDULED, DOUBLE-BOOKED, OR ERRONEOUSLY DELETED EVENTS; RELIANCE ON AVAILABILITY, CONFLICT, OR RESEARCH OUTPUT; OR UNAVAILABILITY OF THE SERVICE — WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (a) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US$50) OR (b) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. THE EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITS IN THIS SECTION APPLY EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU; IN THAT CASE, LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW PERMITS. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW, INCLUDING FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, OR FRAUD.

13. Indemnification; suspension and termination

You agree to defend and indemnify the Operator against third-party claims, and the reasonable costs of defending them (including attorneys’ fees), to the extent arising from: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) content you submit that you had no right to submit; or (c) your violation of law or of a third party’s rights in using the Service.

You may stop using the Service at any time; revoking the Service’s access in your Google account settings and signing out completes the separation, and your events remain yours in Google Calendar. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms, to protect the Service or its users, or upon discontinuation of the Service. Sections 5 (license, for content already processed), 6, and 10 through 16 survive termination.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by emailing darwinhu64@gmail.com and allowing 30 days for a response. Any claim not resolved informally must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you and we each consent to their jurisdiction. Either party may instead pursue a qualifying claim in small-claims court. Any claim must be filed within one year after it arises, to the extent applicable law allows this limitation.

15. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be reformed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization or transfer of the Service, subject to the Privacy Policy’s commitments about your data. Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control. There are no third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the effective date above will change when we do, and material changes will be called out prominently on this page before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the Service and revoke its access (Section 13).
